After inlaying, and re-lasting the uppers, it was time to start building the wedge for my platforms. This process Heidi informed me to be slightly tedious, and so I thought it was best to get started as soon as possible. The first thing I did was take the insole pattern, add 2mm all around it and then use from the heel to the joint area of it to cut out four pieces (there are many more layers to come still) of the material that I would use to build the wedge. After cutting them out approximately, I glued them onto lasts that were just half a size bigger than mine to get the correct shape. After they were glued they were put into the sole-press to make sure that the shape was uptight and close to the last.
