Although slightly hard to see in this picture (my photography skills aren’t the greatest..), after re-lasting the back-piece, Heidi showed me how to do inlays. Inlays are basically the skiving of the underside of the insole where the upper meets and sits. By doing this, the upper is able to be glued to the insole in a way that won’t create such a ‘lump’ and will be both more comfortable and sightly. I did this to all four sides of the upper one by one, glueing them on each time.
